Pemanfaatan Media Digital dalam Pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris pada Era Transformasi Digital

This article describes the problems and objectives related to the utilization of digital media in English language learning in the era of digital transformation. The main problem faced by learners and educators was the limited effectiveness of conventional learning methods in improving students’ language skills and digital literacy. This community service–based study aimed to examine how digital media were utilized to support English learning and to analyze their impact on students’ motivation and language competence. The method used was a literature-based descriptive approach by reviewing relevant national and international journals, books, and proceedings related to digital media and English language teaching. The results showed that the use of digital media, such as e-learning platforms, language learning applications, multimedia content, and social media, significantly improved students’ engagement, learning autonomy, and mastery of English skills, including listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Furthermore, digital media supported the development of students’ digital literacy and adaptability to technological changes. In conclusion, the utilization of digital media provided positive impacts on the quality of English language learning and contributed to preparing learners to face global challenges in the digital era.
